So following on from the ACOTAR series I started to read A court of Wings and Ruin the same day that I finished ACOMAF because it is essentially crack for the brain.

Honestly, the writing quality began to dwindle the further down the book I read so much didn’t make sense. Spoilers below.

That’s right I went straight from Sarah J. Maas’ ACOTAR into ACOMAF.

Booktok got to me. I finally caved and decided to start to read the infamous fairy spice all over tiktok and instagram.

So here are my thoughts…

It’s actually not as cringey as I was expecting myself to feel reading it. It was fairly immersive into the world.

Tamlin though… He has no game… his compliment that she looked clean? Really? I mean seriously that is all he had? The biggest eyerolls.

It was reminiscent to me of Beauty and the Beast, if the books were art, the beast was a fairy and the witch was just a wicked bitch.

Not sure why people describe the books as spicey spicey, I have a feeling the rest of the series will tell me why.

Feyre- Thank you to the author so much for really spelling out how the name is pronounced because I definitely didn’t have it sounding like that at first glance.
